Do you know if they had to change your oil as part of the recall service?
The fuel system has nothing to do with your engine oil, they won't touch your oil.

Has anyone had this recall addressed yet in Canada? I received a letter a couple months back about this recall and to stay tuned for communication regarding next steps. Since then, I have noticed a fuel smell upon warmups and sometimes after driving when idling in driveway before shutting down the vehicle.
I called Toyota/Lexus and asked about the recall and they informed me that my vin is not affected.
Is this recall applying to IS250 only? It does say it covers 2006-2010 IS.
The dealer seemed to know about this recall, but did not have the parts etc as of yet to do the recall.

Either way I will be taking my car in. A fuel smell in the cabin is not cool. My 35 year old datsun doesn't ever smell like fuel. I am not sure whether they will find this recall is related to my car.

Here is the media link from Toyota regarding this for Canadian customers:
http://media.toyota.ca/releases/lexu...nd-is-vehicles

Anyone with an IS350 who has had this done, in Canada want to chime in?

Thanks!

Mine is at Lexus now for this recall, dealer called me and said they are going to clean the throttle body for free while performing the recall work.

It looks like Atlanta Lexus dealerships are taking their time with this recall. I called Hennessy Lexus yesterday, and they said their master techs haven't been trained yet on what to do to fix the recall even though they do know the website was updated to reflect a remedy had been provided. I'm going to call Nalley Lexus next to see if they feed me the same story. I also talked to my friend who lives in Dallas and he was told to wait until the postcard comes in the mail because they couldn't fix the recall yet.

Why the rush ? If they say they r not ready then theres a good reason for it.

This is toyota lexus u are dealing with, not chrysler.

After scratching up my car in the last recall with their car wash, I'm in no rush, hell no.

Dropped off my car on wed with little to no gas in the tank. Loaner car was given. Got a call yesterday to pick up the car today. Lets see if they filled up my tank!
