got my 2007 GS450h with 30k miles CPO for 29k that was almost 3 years ago 
trust me, warranty will expire sooner than you think, but the word "CPO" means Lexus really inspected it thoroughly

If you can find a non certified one with the 4yr/50k warranty still on it you might come out better...and just buy the extended warranty....CPO means nothing except the tires and brakes are good...
