wow 30MPG on highway/ isn't that like toyota / honda effiency.. how many km was your drive when you achieved that? must have been a long haul. im also in toronto and looking for where to go to get my AFS sensor corrected and my TPMS reset. because for some reason the Canadian models didn't come with the little button it clearly shows in the damn Owners manual..
they'll suck the canadian market dry any which way they can.. you guys in EU and US are lucky

i still dont get why everytime i turn the car off and back on after some time, the needle has dropped even lower EACH TIME. is this normal? i mean I can actually say it moved by 1-2MM each time between starts. can't be normal because I haven't seen this happen in any other cars i have owned...

also, do you guys think these fuel mileage extenders help? like those small eco fuel saver shots you can buy?

@striderg3 i would highly recommend you do a tune up this will help the problem

what does a tune up include for this car? aside from spark plugs?
thanks for the suggestion. I shall be doing this. can the plugs be changed easily or is it coil pack stuff?

I personally would stay away from anything like that...but then again thats me.

My '06 has about 85k on it now and looking at my last 12 months I'm averaging between 20-21mpg on in town tanks and 24.5-25.5 on highway trips. 22.85mpg over the last 12 months, which was 46 fill ups. Only additive I've ever used is a bottle of Seafoam in the tank once a year. I've done this will all our vehicles since new and never had any fuel issues such as varnish or injector issues. 275k on one and 227k on another currently.

i have always wanted to seafoam a car. the problem is that I'm wondering how it will affect a motor that has never had the treatment and now at 150,000KM it is going to all of a sudden receive the treatment.
I'm guessing its just paranoia? which intake hose did u use to have the seafoam sucked up.
i know some goes into fuel tank and some goes into engine crankcase?

I don't do the Seafoam in the intake as people traditionally think of using Seafoam. I dump a full bottle in the fuel tank as it supposedly helps remove any varnishes or deposits on the injectors. The method of drawing it in through a vacuum line is to remove deposits on the valves and head I believe. Dumping it solely in the tank may have minimal benefit, but for $10 a year no big loss either way. I've got 2 high mileage vehicles with zero fuel or injector problems. Maybe I got lucky, maybe I'm wasting my $10, or maybe the Seafoam actually helps.

Not an exact comparison but a 2008 GS460 I get about 18mpg in city, 22 mixed, and 28 hwy

65 mile trip. mostly 65mph and a few section of the road reduce to 40mph.

either way should work. I usually do it before filling the tank to help mix it.

Spark plugs, throttle body cleaning and MAF cleaning helps a lot. If you are doing a seafoam flush do it before you change the spark plugs. I average around 24mpg but I baby it and driving is 60% hwy 40% city.

I'm going to be doing a tune up this up and coming weekend to my gs430. I normally drive my turbo Integra, which gets about 30-33mpg and my is300 gets about 25-28 I believe. But this is my first v8 and im not use to the amount of gas it can swallow. My gs430 has 54k on it and I don't think the plugs have been changed. Like suggested above I'll be cleaning and changing some items in hopes for improvements.

I guess the thing that brothers me is that I drive the car maybe once a week to work and mostly around a 5 miles radius when I'm home and I'm having to fill it up as if I'm driving it everyday of the week.
