Cool 2006 Lexus GS 300 - Headlights

Hey Guys:

I'm looking into modifying the headlights on my GS and have a couple questions. Hopefully you guys can help!

***
I'm not sure if I should replace bulbs on headlights or buy a newer brand name headlight (then maybe do some bulb color adjustments)

I found some Spyder brand Black OE projecter headlights at this:

website:http://www.carid.com/2006-lexus-gs-h...-17778388.html

***

1)
Does anyone have input for these versus the stock ones in the Lexus?

It seems like these are the only pair of brand name projector headlights I can find on the internet.

2)
If anyone can also direct me via private message where I can view new headlight unit options, please do it would greatly help!

3)
Does anyone prefer the standard headlight unit that comes with the 2006 GS 300?

Thanks again all and I hope to hear from you guys! Been searching online and need your help and opinions! heh

What do you mean by standard headlight unit?

That's a great price if it's WHOLE headlights for both sides, it's a great find and a first on these forums IMO.

Our GS' headlights from factory at $2k+ each side....

if it's $768 for both sides, with AFS, and whole headlighting system, I'd go for it.

GL!

I've seen those before just don't know anyone who has used them. Goku is right headlights for our the 3GS is expensive cheapest I've seen is about $1800 for a set. If you do get them, post a review that would be helpful for a lot of members.

Great price! These are the first aftermarket that I've seen for our model. I think a member here modified his to halo's which looked pretty cool but difficult to do. Pull the plug bro.

Link says price is for "1 pair", so yes, you'll be getting two headlight assemblies.

Amazing price if they are good quality.

I followed the DIY on here to black out the housing of you headlights, and surprised to say, its truly not that hard to do. I had never tried anything like this nor am I a mechanic of any sort. I will post pictures ASAP. all together it took about 5 hours to complete, and I was taking my time. You can buy them. Here is a link to some already sold on ebay, I saw other ones for 1400 for a set, thats a good price.http://www.ebay.com/itm/L-R-Black-Pr...-/181294344810
All I can say is if you do it yourself, you dont have to take all the guts out of the housing when you bake them.

I suggest retrofitting your current headlights so you don't have to rewire the entire headlight assembly
