Default GS Turbo

I was thinking about putting a turbo on my 2007 GS 350 in the near future.
Has then been done yet? Please advise.

Forced induction has been tried, yes. There is no tuning so it wasnt favorable. Do you know the dynamics of turbocharging? Therea more to it than just putting it on and going .

I had to learn it the hard way, GL.

OP you need to chill dont come on these forums to call people names when you the one asking questions. People have tried to boost IS250's and 350s idk about anybody ever touching the 3GS so in other words it would be retarded to try. But can it be done? Anything can be done with enough money.

RedLex, If you want to go for more power, you should consider dropping a Toyota Supra Twin Turbo engine in your Lexus. It's a direct drop in; check YouTube for vids.. You'd be better off doing that in my opinion...

Its a direct drop in for the 2nd gen GS not the 3rd.

Thanks for the correction Justin2JZ, in order to do it in the 3GS, is there some slight modification, or will it not work at all??

The 2GR's compression is already pretty high, so it's not really built for boost. Expect marginal gains at best.

No sir, like I said, without a tune, you shouldn't be playing with Forced Induction.

Motor mounts, complete ECU overhaul, transmission swap, rear diff swap, the list goes on and on and on.... It isn't a simple swap .

"higher" compression is okay, you just need to compensate for cooling though. Lower compression's much better, then you don't have to fiddle with Meth injection/e85/water injection/race fuel/whatever it takes to keep the engine's combustion chamber cooler.

LOL... If only you could dial in a tune designo . Did you ever do any light research on the differences between the Tundra 4.6L and the GS 4.6L? (ECU-wise). Tundra owners have been successfully able to S/C their cars.

But still not preferred. You'd only be able to run a few lbs of boost at the most, which would yield minimal gains. Certainly not worth the time and money.
