Maybe they changed the size of the WS Fill bolt but mine was more like 24mm than 20mm as tested with my 24mm deep socket. Ordered a 24mm low profile oil change socket and will see how that works as there's not a lot of clearance in that area.

edit: 24mm low profile oil filter socket worked perfectly with standard 3/8 ratchet and breaker bar.

Looking at this thread though, I'm thinking of doing it 3-4 more times.
What if I just measure exactly what came out and pump new fluid back in. Will I have to still do the OBD and all that shifting? I have over 177,000 miles on my 2007GS 350.

Wow, 4+ quarts. I've done 3 drain & refills and it was 2 & 3/4 quarts each time. I now have 184,250 miles and the tranny feels great.

I got out a little more than 3 and I've seen people only get out two, so a little variation isn't a big deal as long as you put the same amount in

is it critical to replace with new washers/gaskets for the drain/refill/overflow plugs?

not critical, but next time I would do it. They must be life time too since you should never have to open any of them for this so called lifetime fluid. lol

Thanks... I'm gonna do is on the weekend. How tight were the bolts and plugs? Is a breaker bar needed to remove anything or is a 3/8" standard ratchet enough?

Lexus service docs say that drain and level check bolts should be torqued to 15lb/ft, and fill plug should be torqued to 29ft/lb. I got all three bolts out with a standard socket wrench, but removing the fill plug would've been easier with a breaker bar.

Ok I did it. Boy was it tiring pumping all that fluid back in. The only problem I can came across was not able to remove the level check bolt because I couldn't find one that would fit correctly. Does anyone remember what Allen key size the check level bolt takes?

Either 8mm or 6mm. I'm fairly sure it's 8mm.
