I wonder if any of you learned gents can help I have a 2005 gen 3 Gs and love the car but one thing bugs me the display its rather clunky and not in high def.
I thought they was all like this so thought i would have to live with it but my friend as bought a late 2006 and his display is hd.
The question is :-
If i could source a new unit from a 2007 are they straight swap plug and play as the wireing got to be modified if so im stuck.

My Next option would be to trade up but thats a bit extreme as these cars hold the value well here and i got a good deal with mine as the previous owner had been banged up (in Jail) and his wife wanted rid of the car so got bargain.

If you can resell the unit, definitely try a new one, but from what I've been reading, it should be PnP, if not you'll just have to source up the harness for the car.
