Has anyone plasti dipped there car, just curious did a few searches and havent really seen anything. Im looking to try it, maybe trying a matte gray or a matte pearl white. Ive seen alot of likes and dislikes but just curious. Any help or info would be appreciated. I am asking, I have a place not to far from me that has all material for $200 for 3 gallons which is a deal........

Its nice but cheap. I actually saw a plasti dipped car in person the other day and if its done correctly it looks ok, this car looked to have some heavier spots and looked very off IMO. But this is ur car if you look up plastidipyourride on google they have a site i believe. I'm personally not a fan but to each their own. Good Luck

I wouldn't recommend it. However, I have plasti dipped my emblems which came out pretty good and is easy to take off. Here is a great article I just read today on the pros and cons. Enjoy!

yeh, Im on the site and just browsing here at work. I recenlty saw a Cl550 that was plasti dip and it looked like it was painted. I guess with time and good preparation comes a good out come. I was watching a few videos on youtube and those cars look really nice. I might try it, but just need to find a spray gun that works.

i had every chrome piece on my gs430 wrapped in black vinyl and the shop did a ****ty job because while on the site it says if done correctly it should last "virtually forever" mine is already peeling in numerous spots, and there are numerous "chips" in the front grill wrap.
going to take it to a more trust worthy shop and have it re-done cuz it does look great imo.
i had the rear emblems plasti dipped and they still look great.
def think tho if you can get a good wrap for the trim and grill chrome etc it looks better then plasti dipping those pieces tho.
better color matching and looks cleaner/classier.
cheers.

don't do it, I did it to my daily driver wheels ( Camry 2012 ) and when I took them off the wheels it left a little coat here and there and some areas still look a bit smudge, mind you I used their dissolver , if you are going to do the entire car and is white you may want to consider professionally done

Pole Position
My emblems are plastidipped with multiple coats (did it on the car with the aerosol), they are not terrible yet but after a few years there are some areas near the edges where it is gone and the chrome is showing through -- which is why I wouldn't suggest doing any kind of large surface area unless you are okay with redoing it within a few years.
Might hold up better somewhere where there is no salt and ice, I have no idea.
