Default Rolling rear fenders

Our rear fenders have this additional strip on the underside that's perpendicular to the fender itself. Around half an inch in breadth.

Wonder if this can be removed or flattened through rolling so as to accommodate more aggressive offsets?

You mean the strip can be shaved away? It won't cause any structural issues?

Had mine shaved as well. Because the rear fenders have screw holes in the pcs that is perpendicular as such when it is rolled it will crease and show. Wont be nice.

Shave it. My mistake was rolling. Either or is a good option depending on the place doing the job. Sadly the place I went were incompetent and did the rolling job but not the best. If i could go back shaving would have been my choice

well yes it will make it weaker because that lip adds rigidity and strength to the panel but then again if you get into an accident and someone hits that spot, its going to damage it regardless.

That's a big owwie IXI...... I'm kinda nervous taking my car to a shop to get the car done. I don't want anyone screwing anything up, but I want to prepare for new wheels coming soon.

yea it sucked. the lexus paint is very soft and cracks easily which is another reason to shave over rolling.

henry did a good write up rolling/shaving a few years ago

Yea man thankfully it wasnt to bad and it was inside the fender so I was able to live with the minor damage, but yea totally go with shaving it rolling is way to risky even for guys who roll fenders for a living tell you there a slight chance of cracking, chipping, etc.
