Default Anyone running 255/30/20 on front

I called Discount Tire Direct to order a set of 245/30/20 which is the size that I have one now. They indicated they couldn't sell me that particular size because the load index wasn't high enough for the GS300. They told me that I had to run 255/30/20 on the front. I know that Vossen recommends 245/30/20. Any of you guys running 255/30/20 on the front? If so do you rub on turns? I'm also lowered on Tanabe NF210's.

Thanks in advance

What tire were you looking at? I believe there's diff load indexes on different tires. Quite possibly Discount tire doesn't have the proper load indexed tire for your application and you may need to just look at another shop

Thanks XxGoKoUxX. I'm looking at the Hankook Ventus. They actually have a 245/30/20 in stock.

depends on your offset and width of wheel. typically no, it will not unless you have some crazy offset. if you run a 245/35 as some members do, you'll rub on full turns.

I don't deal with Discount tire after being charged an extra $36 for "TPMS rebuilding" of all 4 tires which I was told is required when they dismount a tire with TPMS. This was back when they first came out and I didn't know any better.

I rub slightly during mid-turns with 245/35/20 on +35. It's only the fender lining so I'm not worrying about it.

I disliked them after a while when I was charged half price of a tire after purchasing their road hazard program. The tire didn't last me past 3 weeks (due to a pothole on the road that the police refused to acknowledge, which is a whole nother story). Long story short, I never used Discount Tire again for my personal needs.

They're great for getting the hub rings though, they have MANY MANY MANY sizes, and installation was $15-25, parts included.

Stick to the 245/30/20 and you'll be just fine. The Hankooks are good.
