Are they taking care of this on cars out of warranty?

Thanks in advance.
I have 79k miles on mine and they are taking care of this out of warranty.

Would this apply also to cars that are modified? I have a modified exhaust and suspension and suspect oil consumption as well.

Thanks for the response.

Has there been anything in writing from Toyota or Lexus on this yet? Seems this is becoming quite an issue.

when i went in the service manager he said from 2006-2008 has a recal,as long as you take the test,
mine was a 2006 gs300 with 113000 on it or so, they dont care how many miles it has on it ,they want to make things wright,
dont worry if you did some mild mods
just think your car will be brand new again

whats funny my 2002 jaguar x-type has never had any troubles other than change a caliper

Must be a good will because your car is out of warranty.

I am not aware of any recall for 2006-2008 for oil consumption.

That's for 2006 GS300 and IS250. Not GS350.

I havent read anything on the 350. I thought it was the 300/250 only.... Took my 300 in but they said it didnt throw the code so nothing they could do until the CEL comes on.
