Just had my car rebuilt at 128k miles and going strong so far. They approved the rebuild based on when the car was sold and not built... Confusing how others are getting the run around.
Also good to mention, I spoke to my advisor and he stated they are also doing to top end cleaning once and if my symptoms come back.
So jealous to hear some owners got parts given to them, example, pumps and belts with the rebuild. The advisor I worked with was charging me labor when they already had the engine apart and were going to put it back together. 👎😠

Just completed the oil consumption test last week. Two and one-quarter quarts after 1300 miles. Car has been burning oil for years since 2012. At that time, I showed Lexus dealer the letter regarding Customer Support Program for the engine which they vehemently denied anything was wrong. Fast forward to last Friday Lexus corporate representative Mario said that Lexus would take care of it from beginning of oil consumption test. One month and 1300 miles later, a Lucas calls me and says Mario no longer works in that department. Lucas says he taking over and only offers $1500 credit towards 22 hours of labor at $150 plus $450 in parts and no guaranty that Lexus dealer won't find other issues to escalate repair costs. Lucas says I bought it used and that is better than Lexus would offer, which is nothing, since its out of warranty now.
Dealer, Lexus of Pleasanton, where I service it, replaced the rings on my IS250 at 127,000, also out of warranty for free through a recall. What gives with the 2006 GS300?
How can I negotiate a better solution?
