well sevice manager called and said they wont have it ready today ,it looks more like tuesday ,so we was able to swap the rx350 for a 2014 gs350,wow this has a lot of gizmos sat radio is nice,but im not fond of the bodystyle it looks like a maxima

Is this only for 2006 models? My car is burning oil too but I have a 2007. I'm going into the dealer today for the oil consumption test.

the service manager says its from 2006-2008 they had this problem ,when i pick up the car
ill scan in the sheet of what they did to the car,for now im cruising in a 2014 gs350 loaner
not inpressed it looks to much like a maxima
it does have alot of power though

how much did lexus charge you to do the belt, water pump and spark plugs? they are charging me $590.00

well i got the car back this morning ,ive been driving it all day its a little more peppy,im still going to check the oil on a regular basis,
this is the reciept this is what it cost me for parts i wanted additonally
the labor was free,
1 serpantine belt=53.25
1 waterpump=235.79
6 spark plugs 129.84
total=445.48
next time ill do the plugs myself,crazy price for plugs
but im gratefull to get a free engine rebuild

$129 isn't a terrible price for plugs, my Lexus dealer wanted $23 a plug and Napa wanted more than that!

i brought mine back after the 1k miles and will go in tomorrow for the compression test. the guy said most likely i'll be getting a new engine as well for my 2007!!!

its just basically having a new engine,while in there have the waterpump done sepantine belt spark plugs,start fresh and ,when you get on a ramp punch it once a week

How many miles do you guys have on your cars? I am almost at 150k on my 2007 gs350, and I am burning through a lot of oil. I am putting in a quart about every 1000 miles.

Are they taking care of this on cars out of warranty?
