Hello everyone,

I've attached a PDF which clearly shows the workshop manual alignment as well as the pics from my engine when I had the valve covers off. The timing marks on these engines are a little bit silly and a few master/hybrid techs have admitted to me that many of the early valve recalls had to be redone because of the nature in which the marks are meant to be aligned (off by a tooth or two).

Please enjoy, for all of those who think that their engines may be running poorly post-recall.

What exactly are the symptoms?

I feel my car is very sluggish and has slow acceleration, but I just learned I may have to do an ecu reset first.

will this help with the acceleration of the car? I notice over time when i press the gas it doesn't pull like it use to when it was new.

This won't solve any of your problems. If the engine timing is out, bells and whistles will start going off like crazy. This is not a maintenance thing; this is relative to any major engine work that has been performed. Run a can of sea foam through your engines if they're feeling sluggish.

Being a timing chain, why would someone need to ever look at this? Is it just in case the recall work was not done properly and timing is off after recall work?
