I know this is going to sound like a rant, but I have to post it just to get some input. We all post stuff in the FS section to sell our parts that we think people would want and we all have known we are going to get a low offer most of the time, but when did people start thinking car parts were free. The parts we buy for these car are not cheap no matter what type of mod you decide to do, and I understand that most part loose a good amount of valve when they are used and beat up. I personal have had items for sale and got offered 40% of my asking price. Now you bought luxury car which at one time went for 40-80k and in most cases still go for 25-35k years after being first sold. Why would you think the parts are going to be the same as for a Honda. These vehicles are expensive to mod and most parts have to come from japan which have always cost more. If some is asking 3k for a set of wheels don't insult them with offering 12-1500 dollars go and look on criaglist. Had to get it out.

OTOH, a lot of people "ask" much more than they plan to "get", and as the buyer you never know unless you ask. I have sold lots of stuff online, from wheels & tires to vehicles, and you get lowballers on just about everything but it's easy enough to just reply "the lowest I would take is _____, thanks for your interest."
Sometimes you don't hear from them again but sometimes they come up to reality.

I concur! I had some dude not too long ago with a sale, offer me low and I advised him I already had an offer in at a REASONABLE price. His reply was "suckers are born everyday". To those, go back to your Honda fetishes and buy those pepboys special parts you so desire. This isnt a charity, dont be rude and disrespectful and low ball when we worked hard to pay at or near full retail originally for what we bought. Merry Christmas all.

Just ask for 10% more than what you bought the item for originally and tell lowballers to kick rocks.. jk.

It is just the nature of the game. I have dealt with this on other car forums/craigslist as well. I just respond nicely, or ignore.

LMAO, couldn't agree with you more. I even dropped my asking price for some door sills, which is probably nowhere near what you guys pay, and lots of people still advanced and offered me 1/4th of the price I was asking for BRAND NEW door sills..... I think CL is one of the worst places to sell items now (IMO).

101% agree. Well for my air and wheels for the first 2 days I got crappy offers like $5500 for both. But for the last couple a days I've been getting good offers tho. But man people here expecting that they could get or buy some top of the line stuff for cheap!
