Experience in Selling Lexus 2008 GS 450h
New to the forum. Wanted to know if any of you have sold GS 450h's in general and wanted to know how long it usually takes to sell a car. I am in the process of selling my 2008 GS 450h and wanted to get an idea of how long it takes to sell these hybrids.
I've sold prior cars before usually BMWs and Honda's and have sold in as little as 1 week and as long as 2 months. Any experiences from you guys selling the 450h would be greatly appreciated.

It all matters on the price you sell and the buyer you find. The more "attractive" you make the look and price of the vehicle determines how quick it gets sold.
Whats the mileage on it, I can pull MMR for you. Its basically sales of vehicles that have been sold through the auction and give rough estimate of retail price.

Here is MMR, this is what car dealers use to determine a cars market value. Most dealer would pay $18-$20,000 for your car. $21-$22,000 is what I would ask for it.
Auction prices
Clean: $22,200.00 Average $20,100 Rough $18,000
Retail
Clean: $26,800 Average $23,800 Rough $21,600
I noticed you have your car listed on ebay. Thats good! If this were my car, I would pull off the lowering springs and put the car all back to stock. Not many people are shopping for a lowered luxury car.
Retake better pictures, and clean the car up a lil better. Put some silicone gel on the tires and engine bay. Then take new pictures showing everything on the vehicle, you also have to write a description making sure to list all the faults, all the maintenance etc. This will help build buyers confidence. When relisting it, I would just leave it at Buy it now but with an option to submit offers.
Another thing to consider, is that the holidays are around the corner and not many people are looking to buy cars. Actually prices are down this time of the year. Tax season is the busiest and most profitable. That will start around jan and feb.

i sold my lexus but it honestly took time. i sold it about 2 years ago (i believe it was august of 2011) and it took nearly 10 months but i was also stubborn and i know selling a modified car is much harder than selling a stock car as it limits your buyers. i finally worked out a deal with the buyer for $1500 less than my asking price so i took it.
i was using autotrader at the time and honestly, i liked it. it wasnt very expensive at all, i think $60 to list it for year.
