I looked for an 09 for several years before stumbling across one at a couple of years ago. Left work, checked it out and drove it home. Only sad thing was selling my 01 GS 430.
Great cars.

Just checking in ... our black on black 2008 GS460 is still perfect and, as I said, we are keeping it for a long time. FYI there's a black/blue on beige 98,764KM 2008 GS460 with the Active Power Stabilizer suspension system for sale right now at Barlow Motors in Calgary. I don't work for Barlow and I am not in the automotive industry. This is just a heads-up for anyone who is still looking. Note there is an Active Suspension System discussion in this forum that mentions APSSS. Cheers / Lexleezard

Pole Position
I have a 2006 GS 430, silver on black, bought it CPO in 2012 with 50k and it now has 127k. In the spring of 2014, I had an opportunity to buy a 2008 GS 460, private sale, one owner, gray on black with 50k miles, absolutely immaculate. The seller was asking the trade in value for the car plus his lost tax credit. He wanted $23,500 plus $1,800 in tax as I recall, and then I would have to pay sales tax when I registered the car. I want to say that it would have been $26k all in. At the time, Carmax was going to give me $14k for my car.
I passed on on the deal. Yes, the 460 is incredibly rare, but after test driving it quite a bit, I decided that it wasn't all that much different than what I already had and truthfully, the 430 is a pretty rare car as it is (although not nearly as rare as the 460).
Anyway, just my rambling thoughts.

I think in my opinion its the hesitation on which gear to down shift too. For everyday normal driving its fine and is excellent on the mpg especially on the highway. I averaged 29 mpg once on a trip to Orlando. But when it comes to driving spirited the transmission sometimes doesn't know what hear to downshift too. But when it does it puts a smile on my face

Lead Lap
The 8-speed is a bit of a wanderer at low speeds, especially when going downhill, then accelerating again; however, when in "PWR" mode, it shifts much more aggressively/quickly. I personally just leave it in PWR all the time. I notice it most when on the freeway and punch it to get past somebody.
