Default Inside door handle not working

I have an 07 GS 350 and the inside passenger front door handle stopped working. It will still open from the outside, but not inside. Has anyone else had this problem, and is there a simple fix for it?

Have you checked to see if it has a child safety lever on the side edge of the door?

No, I'll check that right now.

Only on the rear doors. Nothing on the front.

Easiest thing to do is just take the door panel off and look. It's only one or two (?) screws and then literally pull off... legos are held together more securely.

in your door handle, tape a small flathead, and pry open the cap under the flathead, there is one screw there, now in the middle of your door is a led light (CENTER of the door panel) pop it open with the flathead again, there's another screw there. It's preferential how to pull the door panel, I just pull and slide up.....

I think you either broke the plastic to the door handly holding the cable (which is really hard to break) or it just broke loose.

GL OP!

Yeah he's right it's two, it's been a while since I did it... but I did it to both rear doors when somehow one day both of the windows back there came off their tracks (I'm still suspicious about how that happened...) and I had to reseat the glass and put the rails back together. Getting the door off is really fast... like, it makes you wonder why these cars don't squeak an rattle 10 times more than they already do.

Took the door panel off and couldn't find anything. Put it back together and it worked about 3 times and quit. Did this about 5 times and keep getting the same thing. Can't figure this out to save my life!

Could you take very detailed pictures of the door handles before disconnecting the two cables (lock and door opener cable)? Then disconnect the cables, take detailed pictures of the slots. You said they worked 3 times and quit...... i'm assuming your placeholder is broken for the cables or the ports on the OTHER end of the cables broke.

I wonder if it has to do with the actual lock mechanism
