Typrice, after reading the article online, I called and asked about the recall. The service reprehensive was like "yes this recall does apply to your car" so then I asked when will be the soonest I can bring my vehicle in for this recall? she said I have an opening tomorrow at 8:30am and we will give you a rental until the recall has been finished. In my mind I was like sweet sign me up ill be there up and early! *free coffee, muffins/snacks, and a 2013 rental hahah im with it!*

But just call Typrice, worst they will say is wait until we send out the mail for this recall. No charge or fee so that's good in my book

"Thank you for your service appointment request. This message is to confirm your appointment for Thursday, September 5th at 9:30am. However, I do have to let you know, the D2G is a preliminary notice. There is not a remedy as of yet. Lexus will notify you when one becomes available."

you were right on that one... best to call and be sure.

I see you are from MA too. Which dealership did you schedule your service with if you dont mind me asking? I am looking to get this recall done as soon as possible also!

Closest dealerships to me are Danvers, Norwood, and Watertown.

I went to Lexus of Northborough which is only 20 minutes from my house. But... I guess I have to wait also.. I was excited when I got there to get this issue fixed. They called me back when I was on the high way heading to work and said they don't have a fix to this issue yet, but will notify me as soon as next week.. But on the brightside they gave me a 2013 GS350 as a rental, and mannnn ****** is doppeeee. Nice interior, and man that thing moves...especially in sports mode..

I called Lexus of Tampa and they do not have a fix, they are waiting on Lexus so I wasn't able to drop off the vehicle.

As a few of you are finding out, occasionally this stuff hits the press way before the dealerships are ready to handle the onslaught. Everyone is always anxious to get recalls corrected asap. But sometimes you have to wait. This looks like one of those times. Patience friends!

I prefer to wait until the techs get familiar with the procedure.

would this take care of the rattling noise at start up? Or is that completely different?
