Why are there so many 06 GS 300 AWDs for sale?

I've had zero problems with the AWD... I love it for half the year when it's all snow and ice... I've never once felt even close to being at risk of getting stuck even when driving through deep snow. It doesn't vibrate - I have stock suspension and would never change it.
I would not buy a car without AWD now after owning this one, sure living in the city it's not like I couldn't live without it but those times when you get really dumped on and I have the option of skipping shoveling the driveway and just plowing through the snow and banks not to mention dancing around 90% of the other people on the roads without having to even break the speed limit - that's fun.
As for size well, it depends on how tall you are I'd say... I would feel way too cramped in the IS, and I like a bigger car. As far as practicality, passengers may be a bit more comfortable in a GS but for family use both are equally impractical I've learned. The trunk on the GS is good for nothing really... the fact that I have kids now, the GS is usable - after all when I grew up not everybody suddenly needed to have SUVs when they had kids and we all made due - but I do sometimes think about trading it for a "truckish" vehicle or at least something with a hatch.

Good advice on the test drives. My wife's cousin has an IS he may let me try out just to get a feel for it. BTW, I've never had a problem with the GS truck space although there's just the two of us and I can see where more space would be nice for a bigger family.

Yezzir, I wish the GS had more trunk space myself, then I wouldn't have to worry too much about all the stuff I want placed in the trunk (So far I have amplifier, compressors, tank, a full air management system, etc. and plan to put in 2 12's also).

This is an update. We ended up getting a short lease return, on-line special, 13 GS 350 AWD, loaded with the options I was looking for with 14K miles. Still has that new car smell and we saved almost $20K off the new car list price. We both love the car and I can finally call the 98 GS400 hot rod my own! When the Queen is happy so goes the kingdom. Priceless!
