I just purchased my rotors from brakeperformance.com, (they have a 10 percent off right now) the premium dimpled and slotted rotors and purchased Raybestos PGD1118M Professional Grade Semi-Metallic Disc Brake Pad Set. Found this brand on rockauto for cheap but shipping was expensive so but i bought it on amazon b/c it was free shipping couple dollars cheaper.

didn't want ceramics so i went with semi metallic, I don't mind the brake dust. Wanted a longer rotor life.

any comments or concerns is welcome.

Usually with semi metalilic rotor life is shortened, for best rotor life, ceramic brake pads seems to be the winner from my research. Well either way congradulation on your new set up, let us know how it works out for you.

I remember something about ceramic can withstand the heat better and get better stopping power. i'm too lazy to dig for that info right now.

yeah iono what to believe I was reading ceramic was harder so it wears the rotors out more.. there was a chart showing ceramics vs/ semi metallic and it always seems ceramics wore the rotor life more..i think it was stop tech's chart
