Default XM to Factory Nav Unit

Just bought 2007 GS 350 with Navi. If I want XM is it just a matter of adding XM receiver to factory unit? OR do I have to go aftermarket head unit?
Had Acura with XM built into unit so this is new to me. Did not think I would miss XM but now I do!
Any advice would be great. I would presume some GS 350s have XM installed from factory so should have interface for XM harness.
Thanks

I was in the same boat almost a year ago. Found a used OEM XM receiver on eBay and an OEM instal kit online. Think I had $160 into it and took me min time to install. Both are definitely getting hard to find however.

I too am wondering the same thing as I would like to get rid of the piece of garbage antenna that came with my aftermarket Sirius xm unit and use the vehicles built in antenna for my aftermarket unit so I can somehow connect to and run a lead cable or wire to the unit

I don't have navigation but a SAT button, could I install the XM receiver? It seems like I can because I think I also read in the manual something like "to receive XM channels, an XM receiver must be installed by a Lexus service center" so it seems doable post-purchase but I don't have the antenna either. To be honest, I don't plan on installing it but I'm just curious
