Default 2013 wheels on a 2007 GS 350?

Hey all, I'm new to the forum, and am not a wheel/tire expert (far from it actually), so please excuse my noob question.

My 2007 GS alloy wheels are peeling pretty badly. I had them refinished, but the dealership hired someone who did a terrible job, and now they're peeling worse. Anyway, my buddy just put some new rims on his brand new 2013 GS, and offered to send me his factory Lexus wheels. He said they are 18x8. I believe mine are 18x8 as well, based on all the research I was able to do. However, it appears as though the tires I currently have on my car are different than the stock tires that came with his wheels.

My question is this... will the tires I currently have fit on his wheels? He offered to ship them to me for a good price, but I don't want to get them out here to then find out that I also have to buy new tires (my wife wouldn't be too pleased).

I have 245/40zr18 97y Hancook tires currently on my wheels. It appears as though they put 235 tires on his wheels out of the factory.

My current wheel:

Desired wheel:

Can 245 tires go on a wheel that, out of the factory, calls for 235 wheels?

Again, excuse the elementary nature of this question, and any help and advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Yes sir you'll be fine. 245 is not that much wider than 235. I'm thinking the offsets should be the same on the 18" wheels. Correct me if I'm wrong wheels experts.

Thanks, so the fact that they're both 18 x 8 means they can still fit either 235 or 245?

Yes sir! 18 x 8 means the wheels is 18" tall and 8" wide. As long as the tires are 235/?/18 or 245/?/18, you are good to go.

Installed them yesterday. Wasn't sure if I loved them at first, but the more I look at them the more I like them. They actually mesh with the body style pretty well.

Any chance we could get a whole car side shot? I'm liking it already.

Re the new wheels are they Lexus OEM?

If so, do you have a Lexus stock #?
