still, even with those specs a 245/35/20 will rub on full turns

That 9 in the front on a 245/35 will def rub a bit on hard turns. I am experiencing it right now with et +35, but it doesnt bother me that much. I am no where near as low as most folks so the rubbing is minor. I am only lowered 20mm with RCA blocks in the front

Default tire calculator

Considering my AWD stock setup is 225/50/17 all around, I am looking to go 20x9 +38 245/30/20 front and 20x10.5 +45 295/25/20. Correct tire radius, but financially painful and pothole ridden streets of LA perfect nightmare...

Anyone have thoughts on driveability with 25 profile tires?

I've decided to go with Vossen CV3.

Should I go with
20x9 ET38 & 20x10.5 ET45 with 245/35/20 & 275/30/20 (staggerd)

or

20x9 +38 with 245/30/20 all the way?

I just don't want to mess up my transmission. I called one of website(vossen auth dealer)
and sale rep told me that it is not recommended to put different size wheel on AWD but some of my friend told me that it doesn't really matter.

Please advise or give me some of you guys opinion.

Thank you!

P.S 19 inches wheel is good for comport but 20 looks better right?
The Vossen wheels would be amazing on the GS !!!!!

as for tires since your AWD i would recommend 245/35/20 thats a 26.8" diameter overall and 285/30/20 thats a 26.7" diameter so it will keep the car level.

There are plenty of guys running staggered setups on AWD cars without issues. The 10.5"s have a deeper concave than the 9" fronts, so keep that in mind when deciding as well. As for the 19's, you can obviously get a bit more sidewall, thus a more comfortable ride. It all comes down to what YOU want. Either way, they will look good, as the GS fits 19-20" wheels very nicely.

For example, here's an AWD on staggered 20" Vossens (I know not CV3's, but the offsets are the same and will fit like these...)

And one on 19" Vossens, again staggered. The offsets are +32 mm and +38 mm front/rear

I hope that helps to give you an idea of how they look and such. Feel free to email or PM us if you have any other questions! Can't wait to see your GS on some CV3's!
Looking good as always... Amazing wheels on some amazing cars guys

Those CV1 wheels look beautiful on your GS man.

I would recommend going with a 35/30 profile tire cuz it gives you more rubber to sit on specially with the roads here your right it will be more rough and difficult overall with a 25 profile tire.

Need4Speed

I just bought 20" Vossen CV1s for my stock suspensioned 2011 GS350. But my rim guy put 235/35/20 all around and told me to "watch for potholes". I drive about 90 miles a day between DC and Baltimore, so I wanted comfort. I feel like the the aspect ration isn't w enough. They aren't "thick enough". Your thoughts (or anyone else's$. Thanks in advance!

I have a set of vossen vvs082 on my 2006 GS300 AWD. 19x8.5 front 19x10 rear tire sizes are 245/35 and 275/30 respectively. I'm also lowered on megan racing coilovers to about 1.5 inches. The car vibrates (of course) but it didn't wobble upon acceleration until I installed the wheels. When braking the car felt like I needed engine mounts. The tech at the dealer says it's because of my staggered setup and it was damaging my drive train. The rims are replaced with the stock setup for the winter but I'm wondering if I should even put them on in the spring . Are the tire sizes the problem? Thanks for any help.

I don't know man. That sounds a bit fishy based on my experience. Again...based on my experience not expertise. All I can tell you is that I have 20*9 on 245/35/20 and 20/10.5 on 285/30/20, which is almost exact rolling diameter F/R, and I have put 50k on that setup with no problem other than rebuilding an axle due to CV boot leak. That wobble is due to axle spacing which has been discussed in detail here on the board. As far as your drive train is concerned, i think it depends on how you are set up. Again I have almost the exact same rolling diameter on my setup as they are within 1/10 of an inch of each other. Just trying to give you some context.

I've gotten the tire sizes from another member, is it possible that this isn't close enough to the factory rolling diameter? Now that I removed the wheels it doesn't really wobble when I hit the gas or stutter when I hit the brakes.

Maybe you lost a couple wheel weights on the set of 19s or there is some balance issue? I am only saying this since your stock setup with the coils does not give you this problem at all.

Others will chime in. I am no expert but I did want to give you my personal observation based on my own setup. There are some wheel heavyweights on this board that will no doubt weigh in on this.

Default Need help on tire size for my vossens!!

I have a set of CV3-R in 20x8.5 all around. (not aggresive, i know...)
I have an AWD, wanted to know what tire sizes I can run without having any rubbing issues. I do plan on dropping with 30mm Sage kit so factor that in as well.
