Spark plug change and throttle body cleaning...60k
Just wanted to give you guys a glimpse of what my spark plugs and throttle body looked like at 60k. I can't see these being good for another 30k like some may claim.

I just did my plugs a couple of weeks ago and it took just about an hour in total. Mine had about 90,000 on them and the electrodes were getting pretty worn. My gas mileage was still decent and the car idled smooth, but they were definitely nearing the end.

I just used throttle body cleaner, toothbrush and a microfiber. Be very careful bc the flap is controlled electronically so you don't want to force it open too much. As for the job. Took about 15 minutes or so. The throttle body is just held on with 4 screws. Just need to undo whatever system you have in place for an air filter .
As for the garage floor. It's SW armorseal 1000

I am still wondering if cleaning throttle body actually does something for the car!!!!! I read a lot and basically it states that if it TOO DIRTY which I doubt any GS350 is that dirty, it won't open correctly cause the car to stall and ruff idle. Have you noticed any improvements?

I just changed my plugs on my GS450h at 120,000km (75,000mi) and my TB looks like your second TB picture. It was very strange but it's completely clean. I also noticed a couple vacuum nipples were blocked off. So maybe the hybrid system is different? No crankcase vent?

The secondary vent line doesn't do too much and has many baffles in the way to avoid a lot of oil transport into the intake system. The throttle butterflies in the 450h's typically stay cleaner than the 300's and 350's. The top of my intake manifold, however, was oily as anything when I pulled it off (same with the plenum).
