Default Center Bore Question

Hi CL, I am considering purchasing some wheels for my AWD GS. I believe the Bore size on stock is 60. If I buy a wheel with a larger bore will they work without hubcentric rings? Thanks

They will work, but its best to have the correct size rings in there. Because without the rings you have a chance of having vibrations. There only like $20 bucks

not only that but then the wheels become lug-centric and not hub-centric and you run the risk of shearing off studs

Thanks Guys. If I do decide on wheels I think I will keep to the correct bore size.

lol theres nothing wrong with rings. ive always ran rings with my wheels because unless they are oem or built per specs, its almost impossible to get them the correct bore size. most aftermarket wheels are usually 70.0+ mm. this allows them to market to all brands of cars. ive ran plastic hub rings for years with no issues.

Learning process for me. I guess I have to ask about the bore as I search. Not many sites include the info on the bore.

I'm not a fan of rings, but if you do go with spacers or any other rings, I would make sure they are hubcentric. I needed spacers for my front wheels to clear the brakes.
