Hey guys. A friend of mine at work had a dead battery this evening and asked me to jump her car. Stupidly, I didn't follow proper procedure and ended up getting some sparks. I hooked up the positive and negative to my car first, and then, while walking the clamps over to her car, the two clamps touched together for about 1/2 second, resulting in a decent amount of sparks. I then hooked up the clamps to her battery, started my car, started her car, and disconnected the cables.

Everything seems to be working fine in my car. None of the systems seem to have reset. I'm just curious if I could have done any damage to my car because of this.

Not likely. Worst case you blow a fuse. Always remember to hook up to the dead battery first but I guess you probably know that now.
