Default TPMS with bad valve core please help..

So I went to put air in my tires because my low tire pressure light was on so after I put air in the tire the valve core was making a hiding noise and turns out its leaking from the valve core I put a brand new one in and still a slow leak it seams to be the thread and lexus quoted me a new sensor and reprogramming for over 300 any ideas on what I can do, I was thinking of put some Teflon tape or some kind of sealer on the threads to make a better seal thanks

$85 from Sewell... just go to your local Discount tire for the swap and programming.

I have a similar problem with mine, they hold air and will take air but unscrewing the cores for tire removal (deflation) isn't going to work as they're corroded.

My solution, last time I changed tires, was to drill holes in the old tires. Not your issue but it might help someone.

Take it to any tire shop they sell rebuild kits.

Or you can buy them off ebay

Are the valve cores standard or different for TPMS?
