Well the new model did debut and the new GS 450h is a substantial leap in everything except maybe looks and acceleration. Surely the new model didn't help 3GS 450h values.

The other thing is huge, 7 years and 100k miles are up. So the hybrid warranty is up. This clearly is affecting values and the market.

What 450h owners could do is band together and refuse to sell the cars cheaply

But as a wise man told me "I could not be stuck with a better car"

8 years and 100K miles is the hybrid warranty.

So I was at the dealership on Friday getting my water pump checked, one of the sales guys came up to me asking me about my GSh I guess the emblems caught his attention. He said he would check to see how much my car was worth with some of the mods I did, told him to ignore the led emblems. Uh it hurt he told me 18k-20k and that's ignoring the emblems I've added on. He said the reason the hybrids are taking a hit is because in the east coast they are RWD and they take a while to sell so they sit on lot for a while.
The good news is that he told me in the next two to three months they are supposed to bring the GS450h F-Sport over, I told him to call me to I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

The illusion of AWD safety stuck in peoples crawls.

I love RWD cars... in fact. When I was talking to the guy at North Shore Lexus. I said if I got a GS350 Fsport. I would want it RWD. That's when i learned about how hard it is to find a RWD new GS in the upper Midwest.

Sorry, Not sure why Lexus needs to have their AWD GS's have the wheel well space of Subaru Outback.

I posted on their Facebook about this. They didn't comment on why it was so high, but said that they would note that I did not like it.

BMW and Audi know how to do AWD without 4x4 status... Lexus should be able to as well. Period.

That's what I thought, but the dealer I went to told me this, I'm gonna go with it until the 3-months pass then I'll just keep waiting tell the GS-F debuts. I'm hoping its true, as I don't know I don't go to this dealership and don't believe a word they are saying.

They will say anything. Its rare to find a salesman that isn't full of it.
I was told that the new GS450h would smoke mine.
My response was, "Do you have access to the cash box?" Cause I'll take that bet.

There are two people I would trust buying a new or used car from...problem is they work at a dealer that would never see a used car or new car I would want.

Good points on the resale neurocity

Its a bit discouraging to see the majority think so little of a such a great car. However, everyone that drives my car loves it. Even hybrid haters say they like mine. Might have something to do with the 340hp..

i picked up my 07 used and got a great price. Got exactly what i wanted to. I went to carmax and drove the 300, the 350, 430 and 450h. After driving them all, I was sold on the h. I, like most people, was worried about the battery going out on me after warranty as i avg about 27k per year. But this car has been so solid i no longer think about it. I'll be ready to trade up 4gsh in 2014/15 and i hope the prices drop just like the 3GSh.

neurocity- Just relish in the fact that you own the best kept secret ;-)

Are you saying that AWD safety in snow compared to Front and Rear drive is an illusion or did I read that wrong?
