Default TPMS Check system problem.

This message came up and I can not reset it.

I press and hold the reset button and it says initializing and then goes back to flashing yellow tire light and CHECK SYSTEM. I toke a few turns aggressively yesterday and later on that day this thing came up. Tire pressure is ok at 32 all around like it always was.

I figure its either the sensor or it needs a re flash. Going to Lexus in a few hours to change oil and address this problem as well. Any idea what to expect? what they gonna charge?

Thanks.

Negative...I was all alone. Checked the setting, still on Main setting as it should be. Im afraid one of the sensors bit the dust. Hope they can fix it today... those dash lights are annoying. I can not believe we can not disable the system.

yea they are annoying when they are on. try filling the tires up a tad bit more to like 34psi. it should go away right away but ive seen people post where it took a day for the system to register it.

Well. Even when standing and resetting the system, it goes back to Check system. So I am assuming something is wrong, defective. I've reset the system once when the LOW TIRE message came on.
Anyhow, going to dealer at 1 pm. Will change oil and have this fixed i hope.

this seems to be a loss in communication between the sensor/ s. one can have came loose in the tire, be broken , or bad battery. or like he said check the passenger side switch anyways.. and make sure u didnt remove your spare

Reflash is needed. If the sensor does not take a reflash, then the sensor is dead.

Happened to me when I was on the interstate. Damn thing went ape, would not reset... etc. It took a reflash like a champ. It has been 5 months... no issues.

I was told that it is not even an indicator that the sensor is going out. It just happens.

Fixed. Right rear sensor was bad.

$125 for diagnostics. Which went into the labor price. Total with 79.99 oil change came out to $360, plus tax, $394 total.

Everything works now at least and Im good with oil for the winter.
I did well on stock market today so whatever...not the worst that could happen.

AGAIN I got to sit in a new GS350, and again I am not impressed. Dash is just not my cup of tea, car feels smaller all together on the inside. Biggest deal killer is no V8 option and F model will be way overpriced. It must drive like a dream if all of those people raving about it.

On the way back home it started snowing...big time. 3 inches on the ground.. almost got stuck a few times.

$125 for diagnostics? Dang! Where did you go??

I had the same problem, but in my case the switch was changed from Main to Secondary. Didn't know about that feature so I took it to the dealer. Scanned it for free, and changed it back to Main settings for free. $0.00 invoice.....

Lexus of queens Yep. Customer service is not the best I must say. It almost feels like they are doing you a favor. I can only imagine what goes on in the shop.
