Audio problem
Hi guys, I need some help here. I started my car and drove it as usual. After a few miles the audio kept turning off and on by itself. I tried to turn off the engine and restarted the it but still doing the same thing. Any idea what I should do to fix it? It has the vaistech installed already when I got it from the previous owner.

Thanks for the advice guys. It's back to normal now after letting it sit for a few hours. Definitely will contact Vaistech when it happens again. I was gonna start a thread in that forum but still waiting for the approval from the admin.

arrrrrrrr.........just thought it was back to normal but it's happening again. This time I am pretty sure it's the head unit not the Vaistech cuz I was listen to radio when that happened. Any one know how to reset this unit?
Thanks,
Thanks,

I would disconnect the vaistech unit entirely and reconnect stock and drive for a few days week or so and see if the problem persists and if it does not you can safely say the unit is at fault. Then simply reconnect vaistech and program again to spec and see if that works.

the harness to vaistech contains the power source as well. if it's not done right power can be on and off. happened to a car i have seen already. the vaistech harness is sometimes tricky to work with, it doesn't have the factory harness "snap / click" feel, some people think harness is already all the way in but it's not
of course, it can be the radio dying the with it going in and out, i still tend to think it could be the harness

That sounds convincing too me about the loosen harness. It wasn't acting like that before. I will try to reinstall it. Thanks.

this happened to me, CD's wouldnt play, but radio would work fine
i dismantled the console, took the head unit out, fidded with the connectors in the back and it worked fine
then all of a sudden it cut out again
if you take the console out (shifter, cupholders, etc...) you will see a black protected wire going along there
all i had to do was move that around and reseat it and it fixed
also, check the back of the trunk and make sure your amplifier connections are all tight, it is on the passenger side rear of the trunk
