New gs300 owner w/pics , and i have some questions
Whats up guys, I just recently purchased my first lexus after my little sister totalled my 08 g35 sedan. its a 06 gs300 with 130k miles on the clock. I bought it from the original owner for a pretty good price and figured since lexus has such a great reputation it should be very reliable. But after reading a lot of posts on club lexus, i wish i would have found a gs430? How reliable are the 06 gs300's? I bought this car for a really good price, so now i dont know if i should i sell it or keep it. Anyways here are some pictures:
Just brought her home...all stock
Installed gloss black vinyl on the roof and vinyled all the chrome mouldings
Windows tinted 5% all around, plastdipped the wheels and emblems
And the car that it replaced =[

Ask yourself this question... Do you like driving it? If yes... keep it. It sounds like its in great shape.
The GS300 weighs hundreds of pounds lighter than the 430 and has a better balanced chassis. The GS300 Its not as quick, but you'll pay for the additional power at the pump with the 430.
You can't go wrong with either, but if the price is right... why switch?

Not sure on the 130K havent reached that number yet But you can call your local lexus service advisor and they will let you know what you need done and also what recalls you need as well. Theyll ask you for your VIN number in order to find out whether or not any recalls have been done on your GS yet.

Pole Position
Mine has been very reliable, knock on wood, though I have less than half the mileage on mine.
The black wheels don't look right to me. I think the car would have looked better with the chrome parts left unwrapped and silver wheels. The roof looks alright to me.
Sometimes I think about covering some of the chrome up with plastidip but my car is black.

Welcome to the club. So for your questions. . . . .
Hands down, I'd say upgrade to the 430. You wont regret it. I test drove a 300 before I bought the 430 and they feel so much different. Especially if you got it for a good price, you shouldn't have too much of a problem unloading it.
As far the the service..... I have 143k on my 430. At 130k, I did the spark plugs, coolant flush, differential service, and a few other misc things.
