Default Uneven tire wear?

My front tires are wearing unevenly on the front 2 tires. They are wearing more on the inside. I had the alignment checked and it checks out ok. My car isn't lowered. I've read that the camber can't be adjusted but is most likely the issue. In my case would a camber kit help? Do they have front and rear kits? Anyone else try this and been sucessful with uneven wear? Thanks

What size wheel are you running? Toe adjustment is also a contributor to inner tire wear.

SPC makes a front ball joint/camber kit for the 3rd Gen GS and FIGS Engineering makes a rear kit. I just picked up both for my '08.

I picked up a front and rear kit for my '98 and eliminated all inner tear wear. I've got 20's on the '98 and lowered 2".

I have the same problem, but lowered on F-Sport Springs. I've heard no matter what you do they'll still run a little uneven. The price of a camber kit for helping just "a little" doesn't seem worth it, something we'll just have to deal with.

Overall, I'm still getting 20-25k miles on my 20" tires which isn't all THAT bad I guess.

Maybe I'll take it back to the alignment place to see if they can adjust it again before I try a camber kit

toe adjustments need to be made... my car's driven fine on the tire when the shocks were 100% working. When they blew... tires started chopping it up

All in all, i'm headed for new tires really soon to get rid of that horrible whoomp whoomp noise. The fronts are very adjustable btw. It's the rears that are unadjustable. Like GS350Lexus said, the car's camber contributes to its phenomenal handling for such a large car.

I spoke with FIGS Engineering and they say they will have a camber kit for the front in 2-3 months. I changed out the lower control arm bushing to a SPC bushing which is stiffer and will help when you are braking.

Hey XxGoKoUxX,

Whats the horrible whoomp whoomp noise you speak of? I think i have the same thing and it sounds like its coming from the front tire, like its got a high spot or something. You can't feel andything you can just hear thing whoomp noise like one part of the tire has a sticky spot it keeps going over. Hope that makes sense. Is it the tire that needs to be replaced because of the uneven wear thats causeing this noise? Thanks
