Got rear ended...

Estimated repair will run you at least $10k and I hope the other guy's insurance will pick it up. I got rear ended two years ago by a semi truck on the freeway at 60mph. My bill was almost $18k from Lexus authorized bodyshop. Make sure to file diminish value also by hiring an estimator, do not use online estimators, they are worthless.

sucks...people dont pay attention.
Two days ago a guy in my neighborhood killed a pedestrian because of fast driving and took off. They cought him 20 miles down the road....
Freakin people dont focus on the road ahead of them, they are too busy with their iphones, slurpies, mcdonalds ....

poor thing, it was sooo innocent
Glad you're okay though..... My gf's customer just got rear ended by a semi-truck at 60+ MPH.... She walked out and the GS wasn't totaled at all, front and rear end damage.

That looks rough! Hard to see another 450h in such pain - especially one that was as well done as yours. Best of luck with the repairs and your recovery (both mental and physical)!

are you OK??? go to the doctor. it's your right, the ***hole that hit you is paying. i got rearended in 2003, ****head fell asleep at the wheel, witness said he had to be doing 55/60 when he hit us. i wound up with 2 herniated disks. i felt fine except for neck and back stiffness. come to find out after X-rays that i had two herniated disks. GO THE DOCTOR!!! better safe than sorry. as long as you're fine that's what's up. keep us posted. and to add insult to injury i sued and 4 years later lost the case. the impact was so hard both the front seats were laying on top of the back seats, from being thrown back in our seats after my head hit the dash and the drivers head hit the steering wheel.

thx for all the well wishes and concern. definitely 100% other driver's fault; and i do have a witness so that helps too. will be booking a doctor's appt soon.
dropped off my GS at the bodyshop, and the shop foreman said there is frame damage (unnoticeable unless you know where to look). the left rear door gap (between door and rear panel) is smaller than the right rear door gap. he estimates it will take around 2 weeks to repair. estimate (he thinks) would be north of $7K, but he has to remove the bumper and see the internals before he can finalize the estimate. not looking good.
