Price match it at a local discount tire and you can't go wrong

I too considered both of those tires for my GS 450h. I went with the Bridgestone partly because i was replacing the RE 960 which i loved and partly because I was told the Contis were noisy. I am extremely happy with the RE 970s. They handle great wet or dry and are very quiet. With the hybrid sometimes I am running battery only and the car is silent. Kinda eerie, I have a friend with a 3 series BMW and he has the DWS. He likes them but I don't think he drives it very hard.

I also have the DWS and cannot say enough good things about them. Very quiet, super smooth and great wet traction. I have 11,000 miles on them and they still look brand new.

FYI - Right before I had the DWS installed, I tried the Cooper Zeon RS3-A. I've never disliked a tire more. Noisy, rough-riding and they made my car feel like a boat. I called Discount Tire literally 2 minutes after I drove away from the shop and told the guy how much I immediately hated these. I went back the next day, got the DWS installed and it seriously was a night and day difference.

I have DWS too and lately the wheel slip a bit during hard cornering. The "S" is still on the tread but faint.

Just had my fsport sways installed last night and tested with my 2 week old Falken Azenis PT 722 and not a screech or slip pushing them on circular on ramp. Even with stock shock/springs I'm pretty impressed with these tires. Nice quiet and perform pretty good.

Conti dws all the way best tire for the money. Several are running them locally to me on their cars after I got them and shared mt opinion. I also was on PS2 but I had no noise issues from mine but a lot more money for sure.

Default Best recomended tires - 2006 gs 300

I'm getting ready to replace tires on my 2006 GS300 Has Factory Tires 225-50-R17

I would like some good feedback for quality tires that are "noise free" if possible!

I put on a set of Contiental DWS and am very happy with them. Do some searches quite a few CL members have them and appear to be happy with them as well.

Nitto's on GS350 and love them. Michelin Primacy MXV4's on GS300 and they are a good tire as well.

Plus 1 for Continental DWS, got a set right after buying my car. Big difference from the previous michelin winter tires. Handles great and very comfortable, it also has excellent tread wear. Of course there are better tires out there but for the price, you can't beat the overall package DWS offers IMO.

Michelin Primacy MXV4 is a smooth all-season tire that has high mileage capability while being nice and quiet. It is a grand touring tire, so if you want more of a performance oriented tire while not sacrificing much in the way of ride and noise, the Continental DWS (dry, wet, snow) is a great option.

I have the aforementioned Michelins on my GS (came on my car when I bought it) and they are very pleasant to live with on a daily basis. That being said, I plan on getting summer tires and another set of wheels to have a bit more road feel and grip.
