Just in...a GS460 with True Dual Exhaust System
Previously, I added the Tanabe Medalion to my GS460, and was happy with it. But, ever since we acquired the 911, the Tanabe just seem to mild. I tried to get the Nvidia mid pipe, but it would not fit the 460 out of the box, so I decided to go to a custom exhaust shop and asked them to build me a true dual system. Boy, am I glad I did. The exhaust sound is now much, much more aggressive. The build quality is top notch. They suggested that I remove, and sell the Tanabe since the pipe is only 2", and they are going to run 2.5" because they think it will sound fuller. But, I didn't want to bother with selling/shipping them, so I just asked to cut up the pipe, and run theirs straight to the mufflers, and that's what they did. The other reason I opted to go this route is I really like how the Tanabe sounds, and I like how the tips look so I wanted to keep them.
If you live in Houston and want custom exhaust work or even auto repairs, I highly recommend MaycoMufflerShop (dot com). Steve is the owner, and an extremely straight up guy. He's also very knowledgeable, and was involved in every step of the work instead of just handling it to the worker bees.
Below are some pic, and (of course) the sound clip so you can judge for yourself.

Thank You!!!
Finally some good exhaust work on a V8 GS.
How is the sound? Drone? Performance gains?
How did Lexus go with a restricted exhaust on a car like that is a mystery .

Sorry, I posted the link at the end of my post, but I guess it was hard to see...here it is again.

I don't hear any droning. I definitely felt the car was much quicker off the line, but I did not dyno to prove it as my objective was for sound rather than performance gain.

Looks great and sounds even better. Glad you went ahead and did this mod. You probably got slight gains, nothing major, but I agree the sound was more important when I did mine. This is how this car should have sounded out of the box with the V6 being more quiet.
