you are not alone. i have read / heard a few. if you search on the ls460 forum, same thing quite a few owners complained about seat cushion over time and there's a tsib for that.

i only had my ls460l for 6 months, seats were ok but definitely not the best. my gs350 i also felt that the cushion started to get stiffer

stiffer... try buy a wal-mart or office depot $100 office chair and use it for a month you will understand what i mean

even tho my car is CPO but i don't think they will cover the cushion since i believe they are consider as wear and tear...

yes, stiffer.

for ls460, some owners over time actually claimed they could felt the "bottom" of the cushion. changed the cushion padding and it's all good again

well if you bring it to an upholstery shop and i am sure they do something about it by taking apart the leather (or find a way) to put in more foam. that's basically what the tsib is about anyway

Bump

Has anyone replaced their seat cushion or know if the leather is stitched into the cushion?

I'm considering a replacement cushion.
The part # is (for the driver): 71512-30650

Thanks guys.

You can take the seats apart and replace the cushion. It is not stitched together

I talked to my parts guy and he believes it's just the cushion. Seemed to be an easy fix to him. He told me that the hard part (expensive) was replacing the leather.

I made sure that he understood that it was just the cushion. As soon as I get back home, I'll see if I can get a diagram. If it isn't too crazy, a DIY will be forthcoming.

Would not have to replace the heated element or cooling system for the seat. I do know that.
