I ran this set up also, you pay to play
I think I posted a thread in the FAQ from one of our first members to run this years ago. I think he was the one that helped with the fitment and design for 4080 who was the original maker of these custom boxes. Best option unless your going full custom and showing your car.
Wiring you can tap into the wires at the Amp or you can tap into the wires at the sub. Easier to tap the wires at the Sub IMO especially if your not going to run it. I left the OEM sub plugged in.

Yea i agree it is pricey, but once i saw how clean and flush the box looked, it was a no brainer to get it regardless of the price. Already paid 30K for the car, cant go cheap on the audio!
msgs 350 - I opted to not purchase the grille. Wanted to be able to see the JL logo haha. ANd also i never put anything in my trunk anyways that would damage it.
shytown 350 - There's a bracket that screws into the box and hooks under the carpet lining on the upper top left corner of the trunk. Also, the chrome latch that is already on the floor of the trunk acts as a holder for the box also. And I have had no problems with it moving around at all, think the weight and the material of the box also help in this matter. And it is very easy to take out the box, pretty much just slide it out with little effort.
deca1234 - sorry but i am a novice when it comes to car audio. I paid a shop to do the install.
