Regular gas for me... it's the most BANG for the bux.

Be glade it's only 10%... some place now pushing for 15% ethanol. Farmer are forcing to feed their live stock with candies and sweet because corn is getting too expensive.

Not to rag on you or anything.... But you realize gas price difference after a FULL tank is only ~$4.48? It's not that big guys, no need to penny pinch over a few candy bars .

Regular gas burn easier than supreme gas. Last time when I switch to supreme there is a noticeable different that the car don't like it as much. I ran 3 tanks of Supreme and the mpg drop a bit and every start the engine shakes like it don't want to start. If my engine like regular, who am I to argue.

A candy bar save is a candy bar earn, and I don't even eat candy. LOL

heh, I can't argue with you on that, if regular gas burns easier on your car, by all means!

However I do realize a difference in quality of 93/94 gas everywhere I go..... Chevron/Mobil so far is the highest quality I've run into so far.... It's too bad, but they use to have a higher octane, I believe 95 or 96 for race cars here in Orlando, I think it's since shut down though.

Either way, my vehicle likes 93 octane, and it hasn't liked low quality gas since hehehe.....

You can run 87 and the knock sensor will retard the timing and it will have less power. Makes no sense that your car runs better on 87 since the fuel maps and timing are adjusted to run on 91

^ my only explanation is the car readjust itself to run on 87. I ran 3 tanks of gas see if it readjust itself back to 91 but didn't seem it did.

I don't hear any knocking even with hood open to hear it. Oh well...I've been driving for years with regular gas. Only problem I had was with the dead alternator.

Most of my friends pump Shell but not the regular, I forgot what grade but they tell me to use it because supposedly it gives you better fuel economy/power compared to Petro and Esso, but who knows! I'll try it one day lol
