Default Wheel Question 3gs

maybe someone can answer this question, i have been on the edge about buying wheels and lowering my GS, picking the right wheel is not easy on this car.

but pretty much decided to drop it on springs, now just deciding between the super commonly used Tanabe NF210, or maybe something just a bit lower,

my heart tells me to slam it to the floor, like my old GS400, but it is just not practical. if anyone has been to Montreal they will know the roads border on 3rd world country quality.

my question is about rims and offset.

i like the staggered look, 20" vossen VVS083's but because of my comment above, i don't feel like running a 25 profile tire in the rear. so my question is, can i run a non staggered setup, so that i can use 245/30/20 all round, but play with the offset to achieve the staggered look, meaning a larger back lip?

it will also be more cost effective, tires in Montreal are not cheap.

any comments?

i am not an expert in wheel offset, so i figured i would ask the right guys!

i dont know if Vossen allows you to do that but yes you can get the same width but with different offsets that allow you to get different lip sizes however thats usually for custom wheels which will run you a good chunk of change.

I was also deciding on 20x9 and 20x10.5 VVS083 but decided to go with 19x8.5 and 19x10 instead because I wasn't quite comfortable with the really low profile of the 20" driving in Montreal.
I just got the new wheels on the car yesterday and is riding on stock suspension so it looks a little goofy right now. I'll be in Montreal this weekend an will have coilovers done next week when I'm back. To me, there isn't any different between the 245/35/19 frt 285/30/19 rr continential DWS and the stock 225/50/17 Dunlop runflats ride quality. We'll see how the ride fare on this 350miles trip.

Lol I've been and they are the worse I have seen no offense, swear I broke a strut down there, I would go with the NF 210 they will be just right.
