Why does my car smell like rotten eggs everytime i floor it?

Before you buy new cats Toyota has a 80,000 miles warrantee on them I believe. 8 years too. Something in the nature atlease. If you can get it covered by them do it so it's free and then buy your straight pipe. That way if there's ever a need to go back to stock you have bran new ones.

new cat wrong
Same problem so I when and got a magnaflow band cat and the smell was still there when I floor it I guess its my gasket, do not go buy a new cat wont fix problem.

These cars have oxygen sensors before and after the catalytic converters. The one in front of the cat is used to manage the engine, the one after the cat is used to track the health of the cat. I've had cats go bad on my BMW, the O2 sensor picked it up and I got a message that a cat was going bad. You *should* get a message if a cat is truly going bad.
If you replace the cat with a straight pipe, the downstream O2 sensor should detect it as a bad cat, and give a message. You can buy devices that replace the O2 sensor and send a signal to the computer that fools it into keeping the message and light out. There isn't much gain in hp from deleting cats, less than five hp, and it is illegal, but it can be done.
