Hey Guys,
I am having bad radio reception once the rear and side mirror defrosters go on. I know that the radio antenna is in the rear window. The 2011 ES350 loaner car I am driving seems to be having the same issue. Is this common on Lexus cars?

Not at all, I have zero issues with that especially on the ES loaners thats the only thing i listen to is the radio.

I never had issues with this...sounds like a bad or weak ground connection to me.

Agreed. Sounds like a bad or loose connection. If you haven't done so already, you may want to search on the audio forum to see if anything pops up there.

I listen to mostly Sirius/XM, but when I do listen to the radio, the FM is clear at all times. And the AM is as clear as can be expected.

i have this issue, and it gets worse when my HID's kick in. i'll be checking grounds it seems. thanks for the input, though this is not my thread.

I have the problem when my Cree LED reverse lights are on, my radio goes to straight static.

yeah i have the same problem, 2007 450h and also my wifes 2007 camry. i would doubt both have a loose ground.

I have the same issue with my 07' GS350. The issue was happening every time I put on the rear defroster. I took the car to Lexus, but they told me that they "DO NOT KNOW" why and what the issue is! So, I called Lexus Corp office and they told me that Lexus would go half and cover 50% of the total price of replacement of the back glass.

I did not replace the glass, but when I got my windows tinted...the problem seemed to just go away. Weird, but it worked.
