Lightbulb So who has cracked open their headlights to install LED / Halo rings?

I've been thinking about doing this but wanted to get some advice from those of you who have done this already.

Looks like bumper needs to be removed for sure but any other tips or tricks?

Kinda sucks since most cars have only 2 headlgihts but this particular design has 4 individual housings. I was thinking of doing either LED's custom drilled into the chrome portion of the housing or maybe doing something in terms of halo rings.

Just FYI but I'm certainly no newbie to LED work and have done quite a few but wanted to see pictures of 3GS owners who did the mod and can chime in.....

thanks fellas!

And I'm interest to see a 'crack open' pictures of our headlight. I want to go in there and clean the lens. So tempted to just change to a different headlight for clearer looks and better project of the light. My light looks so much like halogen light.

Actually the GS is technically my Bro’s but he’s asked me to help him with some modding!

LOL so I guess no one here has attempted to open GS headlights? That’s shocking! I was hoping someone here can give me some pointers but oh well looks like I might be the first (hard to believe though)

I’ve done plenty of headlights from BMW, s2000, NSX, Mercedes, IS-F, even the new CR-Z but have yet to try a set from the GS. I plan to remove the bumper today and see what I’m up against in terms of the housing….

In the meantime if anyone has done this and can post pictures that would great!

Thanks!

We can do all kind of retrofit from black housing to CF vinyl, LED angel eyes, LED strip, proector retro fit into high beam, etc!

LOL I knew someone would say this and I actually agree somewhat but truthfully everyone has different tastes.

I learned a long time ago to appreciate mods for what they are. Lots of things I dislike that many people on this site think is cool but I don't care as long as it's not on my car

Anyways when I have the GS headlights apart I will post some pictures for those curious.

Recently I did this for a friend's car, can you guess the car?

imho, led in headlight might be a good mod to do, but it all depends on execution. do it wrong, and it will look cheesy.

Baking headlights is always fun! Working in the kitchen with car parts is a must do.
