$1300 head light NOT covered under my CPO Warranty?!?
Hi, I took my Lexus GS300 in because the Drivers side low beam light wont stay on and They said its due to the water build up inside of my headlight unit, it caused the bulb to blow out...So they say...then the guy tells me its NOT covered under my warranty So I Immediately called up Lexus corporate to try and get them to make the $1900 repair under "goodwill"..They said they'll get back to me in 3-5 days...Do I have a good case? Theres NO cracks in the headlight unit BTW...

Mods maybe, non-Lexus bulbs, or has the light been taken off/apart for any reason? That would be the best guesses I could come up with. Interesting. Keep us posted.

I would think that water entering the light assembly would be a coverable issue. I don't that that burned out bulbs are covered under normal circumstance. But this isn't normal!

Exactly, I have no problem replacing just the bulbs...but if this faulty head light unit is causing the problem then why should I be responsible? I bought this car for its reliability, Now I cant drive the car at night. Lexus is not holding up to its claims imo... Hopefully I get some good news from Lexus in the next few days...If not, im fighting them until I do!

lol the headlight itself is not causing the problem. lexus always says that to get more money. its either the bulb or the ballast. its a simple fix to figure out. whatever bulb is "bad", swap it to the other headlight and see if the problem is still there. if so, its the bulb.
fyi you can get headlights for like 300 bucks now
