Digging out this old post since I'm about to buy a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Position. Had original runflats junk for first 30k, couldn't wait to get rid off it. Than for the next 55k miles drove with Potenza RE960AS. AWESOME set of tires, to me - bar none!!! I do travel a lot of hwy miles, that's how I racked up 85k over 5 years. Original RE960 were rated for 40k miles, but it did last me for 55k. Being on East Coast, our climate is rough, and it always handled with confidence in heavy rain or shine and/or deep snow; not much noise either on any surface, including our swiss-cheese pothole Jersey roads The price is right too, about $175.
