Default High Speed Vibration

Hey folks,
Is anyone else experiencing high speed vibration?
My car rides smooth until 75-80 mph. At that speed I get a slight but bothersome vibration. I've had the front wheels rebalanced twice and even got an alignment (though usually have no effect on vibrations) but it's still there. I didn't know what to think.
Last nite a relative called to ask my opinion of the very same issue he is having with his 08 GS. Almost identical. He says his vibration starts at 80 but ends at 85. He is on stock wheels so my 20's seem less likely to be the problem. This is a recent occurence. My car has been smooth for 4 years.

My question: Does anyone else have this problem? What was the outcome?

Mine is as smooth as glass at 100 mph. No vibration at all. None. And this is with Pilot Sports that have 32,000 miles on them.

I'm sure you already know this, but it's probably a good idea to make sure your tires are properly balanced by a Hunter 9700 or similar machine.

I have vibrations between 70 and 85. But that's due to my spacers.

I got a balance done at a shop that has the most up-to-date Hunter's and has them serviced regularly.
It's not a serious vibration but it's there and I like perfection.

I had a vibration at 70 - 75 and a road force balance took it out after a regular balance did not. Where do you feel the vibration? Steering wheel= front wheels. Seat of pants= rear wheels.

have you checked your lugs to make sure they are torqued correctly?

Very slight in steering wheel. More like the steering column. But some times it's visible in the steering wheel, most times it's barely noticable.

I watched the tech pattern torque the lugs.

Did he use a gun or hand torque? Even using the star pattern the gun can give u a shimmy i use a rachet hand torque and that thing is money!

even hand torque can benefit from 2 pass. First pass @ 80% of target, then second at spec #.

I have the same issue but I'm running spacers as well. I haven't had my wheels balanced since being mounted almost a year ago. I will give that a try and let you know the results.
