I installed a free air kicker sub in place of the stock ML sub on the stock AMP, used a 2 line out converter on that line to pull an RCA to amp and 12" Solobaric subwoofer in the trunk. The music was nice, bass hit hard, but whole car rattled.
Being a classic rock and accoustic fan, this didn't work. I ended up installing dynamat on the trunk top, back bulkhead, and lid, then filled the gaps where 2 panels met with semi expanding foam. Rattle is gone, it sounds incredible. Really the best sounding car stereo Ive had in 12 cars.
