Default Low key battery

Keep getting this annoying message. Anyone know how much will dealer charge ? I know I can probably just buy the battery for $5 and change it myself. Thanks

all dealers are different. ive seen prices range from free to $20 bucks. if you have a radio shack or a watch store near you just go grab a battery. it will cost like 5 bucks but it only takes about a minute to switch out.

You can get like 10 batteries for just a few bucks on eBay and it takes 10 seconds to change.

still don't have the user manual?

take out the mechanical key from the fob, look at the inside, and use the mechanical key to pop the cover open

If it's your first battery change, dealer will do it for free. They know if it's your first or not by the brand of the battery. original is panasonic and replaced is of another brand.

I bought a blister pack of 5 batteries on ebay for $4 and keep them in the glove box so that they are always available.

Pop it open and read it. Mine is CR1632.

Tool U'll need:
-small flat head screw driver
-a quarter

Instructions:
1) Gather the tools and the fob ready for the operation
2) Remove the metal key
3) Inside you will see a cut perfect to slide your quarter in
4) Put in the quarter and turn it, it'll pop open
5) Read the battery size written on the battery
6) Put everything back and go buy the battery
7) Repeat step 1 to 4
8) Use the small flat head screw driver to get the battery out
9) Put in new battery
10) Put everything back
11) Go to starbuck and give yourself a treat..........ok you can skip this step.
