Nav sending me out of the way/wrong direction
I have always picked the option QUICK 1 when taking directions from the Nav. I did this yesterday and it seemed if the Nav was taking me a 1/2 hour out of the way to avoid highways or tolls? Is this possible ? It even did it to me on the way home which it has taken me before many of times. It kept telling me to get the highway at every next exit, instead of getting off at my exit. Could something be wrong or an incorrect setting be turned on? Any help/input would be much appreciated thanks all.

I have found that a Navigation systems are only good if you KNOW where you are going. I drove to New Jersey once using the navigation. I have been there many times, but decided to follow the navi system. Where I live we barely have toll roads so selecting that option was not big deal. On this trip, I went around Robin Hoods barn avoiding the toll roads.
I have also noticed on some navigation systems, they purposely take you on a route that will pass sponsors in the hope that you will stop and spend money.

I turned up the default cruising speed for freeways so that it takes me through mostly freeway and least amount of time on surface streets. I'm sure driving 15miles off the freeway is the shorter and more direct to get somewhere but I'd rather let the Navi take me to the exit that's a mile away from my destination..
