Confused here. You stated you received notice of a safety recall but you had to call Lexus to receive this notice??????????? This makes no sense whatsoever. Care to tell us what the safety recall is for when you were talking with Lexus?

Positive it must be the fuel sensor tightening. There's nothing else going on.

Well..I took my car in for the fuel sensor thing, but they said it wasn't ready yet. The dealer told me that the media got to it before they could do anything about it. They're in the process of correcting the issue.

As for the recall notice that you just received, it's for some kind of break lining that needs to get replaced. I just happened to get it fixed right before I received the notice in the mail. It's for a completely different issue. Expect to get another notice when they're ready to start fixing the fuel sensor problem.

I think he is referring to the small cup that is being replaced in the master cylinder.
This was a recall that was issued in November. Lexus is rolling out the recall letters a small bunch at a time. I called in December to find out if my VIN is on the list. They said it was but I still have not recieved a letter. Still waiting, but not worried because my BRAKE light has never come on unexpectedly. I guess the original cup is prone to leaking.

Yeah I had to call them and ask them about the nut tightening thing(excuse me im drining) and then they told me about the master cylander recall. Funny, They had never sent me a letter until 3 days after I called them and asked????? HMMMMMMMM. And my car has been fully serviced at lex dealership per their records. Not SPO though.

Sorry if I didn't make my self clear. Let me try one more time. Few weeks ago, I heard that Lexus is recalling certain models. So, I waited long to receive any invitation to bring my car for repair if needed. However, no one called so I had to call the dear to inquire if my GS 300 06 is under recall. They said, yes there's a recall and we'll send you a letter in the coming few weeks. I said hell no, send it over now and here we go. Now, I need to schedule an appointment.

The recall is about Brake Master Cylinder Cup ( Rubber Seal). The same cover letter " jackballer" received. For all of you, just pay attention as you may need to call the dealer especially the issue seems critical pertaining to the brake system.

Never heard about this. Is this a standing issue for GS 06 300? Any Idea

Got a different recall letter today.

Its for the Brake master cylinder cup.

But logging onto lexus.com it shows there are 2 recalls for my vehicle. One is mentioned above, and the other is the fuel sensor one.

Woohoo, i think that brings it to a total of (5) recalls now?
